72 Dancers is a short film that is based off of an early animation tool called a phenakistoscope. It is a single sheet of paper that has been cut and filmed to create a looping animation.

This project was for a sound performance series featuring 40 speakers surrounding an audience. The series is Spatialized hosted by Dave and Gabe. The idea for the piece was to take something functional and familiar as a flat animation and add dimension to it by having the figures rise up. The added dimension is meant to mimic the increased complexity of the 40 speaker setup compared to the more familiar stereo.
